Default Dashcam

I bought the A118c and had it installed a few days ago. Caught a Sheriff pulling over a driver last night. Still tweaking the settings to get optimal night time color.

Why would you care about a Sheriff pulling over another driver?

He doesn't care about the sheriff per se. If you were familiar with this area (Metro DC, just outside Dulles Airport) you'd realize the necessity/desire to have a camera rolling at all times while you were driving. People in the DMV as it is known are plum crazy.

I'm guessing he was just showing an example of a night time video that just happened to show more action than him just rolling down the highway.

Decent video kiddhan; did you make sure to remove the small plastic film from the lens?

Yup removed all the plastic film.

The point of the post is just to show what the dashcam looks like in the Durango. It just so happened I had an "exciting" clip to post.

Did you install it? If not, what kind of business did and what was the cost?

This is the one (Capacitor Version) I bought along with a 32gb sd card. Install was $40.00. Any stereo install shop can do it and takes no more than 30 minutes. My tech hardwired the connection directly to the cigarette lighter. So it's instant on/off with the DD.

Trust me, Iknow all about the Dulles toll road. I lived in Reston for a number of years and worked in Arlington. Was on that road every day.

I bought mine off amazon for less than $20. Bought two as a matter of fact for that cheap. Have one in my truck and my car. Watched too many videos on you tube about insurance scams. Plus, in a pinch, there is nothing like video evidence if you are in an accident

And small enough memory cards that it can be disappeared if the evidence is not exactly in your favor.

"Was I recording? No, no, I forgot the memory card."
