Default new owner here... one week in and my quick thoughts

I have never owned a vehicle quite like this... sure I've had SUV's and I've bought 2 american cars (mustangs) in all my years driving, but never an American SUV and never a dodge.

I got the R/T black/black with Red int and 2nd row buckets with the blacktop package.. got lucky to find one without the 2nd row console which I didn't want.

So far it's been incredible... so many features that are great and really not much to complain about.

Love:
Red Int color so cool looking
2nd row buckets, the kids love this feature so much LOL
the entire Uconnect system is unbelievable.. better than I expected... the Nav is great, the entire electronic setup is amazing, better than much more expensive cars I've had in the past, very impressed.
Love the map pop up in the middle of the screen while on music
The uconnect IPhone app with remote start and lock/unlock very cool
the remote start itself so great in hot (and cold) weather!
the Hemi sound and feel is truly amazing!
the 3rd row and different configurations, you really get serious utility with this vehicle.
drives so smoothly and the power is great
the black 20's, the metallic black paint looks great
the entire overall look is amazing.
rear row electrical socket and 2 usb's along with the front ones is great, have iphone and ipad chargers everywhere now

not much I don't like, have to think long and hard... minor items

MPG (I know it's expected but it sure is bad in the city lol)
would have liked a volume switch on the steering wheel (very minor)
would have been nice if the 8.4 screen was slightly tilted towards driver as in the sun there is glare and it seems to face straight back (again very minor)

overall very satisfied so far, would love to hear from you all as to any must have mods or items...

I posted pics in the main picture thread with all the others...

Wait til you start messing with the Hemi, it gets better.

Isn't there a volume switch behind the wheel on the right side ?

You may want to check your User Guide again. My 2013 has a volume control on the back of the steering wheel opposite the cruise control buttons. There is also a center button (between the volume up and volume down buttons) to change the audio source (AM, FM, etc). There are additional audio control buttons on the left/back side of the steering wheel.

I've been babying it so far... at least until there are a few more miles on it... can't wait to unleash the Hemi.

Yes, I just found the volume behind the paddle/wheel.. I knew I felt a button but I haven't had time to read the manual. thank you very much for this!

almost forgot a great feature... setting for cooled seats to come on with start and/or Remote start! Just the cooled seats alone are super cool and on with remote is amazing.
Thank you Dodge for giving convenience features that are actually convenient!

so many of my past cars had no features like this and they were more expensive... amazing

There will be one other problem... from now on, every other car you drive (rentals, wife's etc) will seem inadequate.

Goes all the way back to the early days of Dodge. The Dodge brothers got started and thrived by creating cars with more standard features than were available on other brands. I'm so happy they have continued to do this in the 21st century.

The first car, the Dodge Model 30, pioneered or made standard many features later taken for granted like all-steel body construction 12-volt electrical system, sliding gear transmissions, and, of course, MORE POWER!! The Model 30 had 35 HP compared to Ford's 20 HP on the Model T.

There's your history lesson for today.
