Default Headlight & Fog light bulbs

I have a 2012 Crew (AWD) and want to replace the factory headlight and fog light bulbs. I want the ones that give off that bright vibrant blue/white light. Are those halogen, LED, or?

Thanks

Could be halogen, LED or HIR. Just don't put HID's in stock housings.

If you currently have halogen bulbs, you can get the look it sounds like you're after by switching to a cooler color temperature bulb. It sounds like you're after something in the 6000K color temperature range. For the fog lights you could switch to LED bulbs. The cooler color temperatures are readily available in LEDs.

As mentioned above, do not go with an HID drop in bulb and ballast kit if you currently have halogens. The optics are not designed for HIDs and, if you did install them in the stock housings, you'll make for dangerous conditions for vehicles coming head-on to you.

One more thing to consider - the cooler color temperature bulbs make look appealing to other drivers but they will not actually improve your ability to see down the road, assuming all other things are equal (power output, etc.). So if your primary goal is to be able to see better versus having the more modern, more appealing look, I suggest you reconsider the choice of blue/white bulbs.

^^ This. Either buy projectors designed for HID's, or go with a color that provides the most light output. usually 5000K and below. Anything higher has "less" light".
