Actually its the top/second rated I recall on tire rack

Yes, I'm aware that it's a different style of tire. I was just putting info on the GO55 out there.

I figured. I just wanted to be sure since there are multiple "Geolander" tires.

It's just about time to replace the rubber on my 15 RT. Currently I have the stock Goodyear Forteras, which I am happy enough with on dry pavement. But on this as well as my old 12 Durango, I have noticed that their wet and snow performance really suffers after about 30k of wear.

Just wondering of anyone has suggestions for good year round rubber - must perform in snow.

Here's another +1 for the General Grabbers. My first two set of Fortera didn't last near as long as their price should warrant. So I switched over to the Generals and have been very pleased.

I live in an area with many hills and unpaved dirt/gravel roads and they have been good so far.

Road noise is not bad on pavement.

Have yet to use them in the snow, but since I have AWD, I don't think I'll have any issues.

What size are you using for the Grabbers? I looked on tirerack and it seems like they don't have that tire available for Durango 20" wheels.

I too needed tires with the winter snow in the near future. I had 50,000 on the OEM Goodyear Forteras and the thread was very near the wear bars. I live on a hilly road and didn't want to take the chance of getting stuck or worst once the snow arrives. I researched tires via TireRack and the Michelins were rated very high in the areas I was most concerned with. The tire dealer also was suggesting I consider the Michelins or Continentals to meet my needs. I really did not mind the OEM tires but elected to go with a better rated tire mostly for safety. So with that higher rating comes a price and these tires are much pricer. Unfortunately, I don't have much more to add since it's only been a week with the new tires. To date they're performing as expected and they're quiet. Perhaps after it really snows, I will write a follow-up to this thread. Good Luck with your decision.
(Update) Well we finally got some snow as we enter the month of February. I've since put 4 thousand miles since my purchase and have driven on various road conditions over that period. I know that any new tires should do better than the old ones that have worn out with use. So memory of how the OEMs behaved when I first purchased my vehicle is my main criteria. With that said; the new Michelins are performing as expected, with good traction in the snow and excellent traction in the rain. This tire also seems to provide a bit of better stopping power which is never a bad thing. It should be noted that these tires start out with less tread 8.5/32", vs 12/32" or more on other brands. Which leads me to the question of; will they make it to 50,000 miles?...only time will tell. The end result, I am pleased with this tire so far.

Been a full year with the Geolandars mentioned in post #6. Still happy, wearing well, fine in snow.

Nitto NT850 Plus, High performance All Season, 265/50R20 Extra Load.
Load/speed rating. 111/V. Bought them on tirebuyer.

This are a great tire, they preform very well at speeds above 100mph.
And they preform pretty well on twist and turns too. Good load rating.

A way better tire than the original OEM tires.
