2015 Dual Zone Climate Control
Hi. Have a 2015 Citadel and wondering if the dual zone climate control up front is working properly. If I put one side at 80 and the other side at 66, I would expect one side to blow hot and the other side to blow cool. But I don't get that, I get the nearly the same temp from both sides - maybe a bit warmer on the "set to hot" side.
How does this work for others? One thought I had was that both sides either blow heat or blow A/C at the same time, but you can't do one on one side and the other on the other.
Thanks

What's the ambient temperature where you live? The A/C system will stop working if the ambient temperature is below some threshold, I think usually around 38 degrees F.

That seems odd that it would work differently depending on which side you set to hot or cold, HkyNut. I would recommend letting your dealership take a look at this to diagnose what's going on. If you would like assistance scheduling an appointment, please feel free to reach out to me.
Claus, is it not blowing cold air or is it just completely inoperative?

DodgeCares the air coming out of the vents is not cold.
For about a week, when we turned on the A/C a hissing sound would come out of the from vents for a minute or so.
The A/C compressor clutch still engages when I turn on the A/C.
jkeaton yes you are right "stuff breaks". Dodge needs feedback on what works and what doesn't so they can learn and improve the design.
