Default LED Bar

Anyone else experience this? I didn't know until officer pulled me over claiming my "taillight" was out LOL. I assume they have to replace the whole bar!

Sounds more like a surplus of cops who have nothing better to do. Use your warranty.

What were you doing and where were you doing it? Pulling you over for the light being out could have been just a courtesy to let you know that is wasn't working.

I'll assume he didn't give you a ticket. Please keep in mind that if law enforcement would like to contact you, an equipment malfunction/violation is a perfectly acceptable reason to pull you over.

Hopefully the taillight is an easy fix. Like coldsteel stated; LE is within their rights to make the stop. It's a way of letting you know of an issue you may not find out about otherwise for quite some time. This scenario also makes think back on how Tim McVeigh, the Oklahoma Bomber was caught in '95. A Trooper made a M/V stop for a plate violation. That stop turned into an arrest for unlawful firearm possession. Further investigation over the next 3 days determined he was one of prime suspects in the OK Fed building bombing. That's how a near nothing, can turn into a real something.

If you're good with a small soldering iron, have an understanding of ESD damage, and have some patience, you can probably repair this on your own with a part or two from Digi-Key.

Thanks guys. Yeah no ticket. The officer was just letting me know. No ticket or warning. Should be covered under warranty.
