Quick follow-up: My fan DID NOT chew through the support bracket and nick the hose.

I removed the old hose yesterday and it has to be one small hole (not obvious at first glance).

Very little coolant appears to have escaped, but there is definitely a concentration of it on the pulley for the PS pump (top most driver side).

I picked up a new hose so I'll put it all back together and report again.

Cool, did you get it from the dealer? If so how much and did it come with the plastic clip?

I did not (can't justify the price markup). Picked one up at auto parts store and it did not come with the plastic clip, but since my clip was not actually broken, it is transferred easily enough to the new hose.

Can any one answer why there is the quarter length piece of mesh sleeve on the hose. It sits on a part of the hose that is not exactly at risk of chafing.

Quick follow-up: Murphy's Law got me; it wasn't as simple as the radiator hose. I lost the water pump at 86,000 miles right after driving 2100 miles in 32 driving hours.

I had no time to do it myself (son's football season) so I had a local garage I trust do the work.

4 mile tow, water pump, oil change $500 +tax - can't really complain.

Just checked my 2012 5.7 and the clamp is removable from the hose and the fan has a plastic ring that is attached to all of the fan blades. This plastic ring captures all the fan blades so there will be no movement of the blades and has a nice flat surface.

I totally understand because mine is missing and i had to replace 3 hoses already. Would you happen to know where to get one from?

Default Upper Radiator hose bracket support

Good Morning,
I have the 5.7L Hemi, and I recently had the upper radiator hose bracket ring break causing the hose to go against the pulley creating a hole in the hose, and spray coolant all over the engine, and made a big mess. I replaced the hose and did a make shift for a bracket temporarily, until I can find the replacement bracket.
I didn't see anyone say if they found the bracket itself?
My new hose didn't come with one. Any help on where to buy it or if suggestions on a better fix than what I have would be great. Currently have three worm gear clamps one around the upper radiator hose with room, a smaller one attached to that, then a bigger one that i secured to the bracket against the frame of the car.
