Default 2014 RT HID replacement

Anyone have a guide to do it? Easy? Hard? What does dealer charge?

Got a good source for a bulb other than autozone or Napa, who want $149 for one? It's the D3s bulb, but not certain on whether it's 4300k or something else. Anyone know the OEM spec?

Driver side is burned out.

The bulbs are expensive because the ballast is integral to the bulb, but not $149 expensive.

$75 on Amazon

Saw that price on Amazon. Ordered one and got it yesterday. Looks like if I take out my CAI, I can get to it pretty easily. Also an access panel in the wheel well to get to it too. Apparently, there's some black retaining clip though that you have to be careful about and sometimes feels cemented on there and breaks easily?

I may post a video since there aren't any out there for a durango that I can see.

Went the amazon route. 1st bulb they sent was burned out. They sent a replacement. That one bad as well.

Now at dealer getting it done for $250.

Sucks that Amazon can't get their quality control right or ship it correctly. I'm not messing with getting a 3rd from them. Not worth my time at this point.

Yep, Amazon has gotten too big. Quantity over Quality.

OUCH on having to pay $250 big ones to have a light bulb replaced.

We all long for the good ol' days, when you could do most everything yourself on your ride.

Turns out it was a short. Dealer replaced the bulb and short under warranty. The short was located in the right core support harness.

Glad your situation was remedied. So what you're saying is Amazon is not evil and those bulbs likely DID work?

Not exactly. The tech noted the bulb from amazon was burned out before install. Checked it right after pulling it from the box.

It's got to be an issue with their shipping. They send it in their smallest box, but the box is still too large. They do wrap the little box with he bulb in it with bubble wrap, but it still bumps around in there I'm sure.

I'll stick to what I said about Amazon.

And yes, I still shop at/with Amazon.
