Default Question for DodgeCares

Can you folks explain why the 2017 Durango info is STILL not on Dodge's website?

The '17's have been in production for almost a full three months now and they've been showing up on dealer lots since August, but as of this moment I have to use forum reports and Milous on JeepGarage to get detailed info. I can't even use the Dodge website to find dealers that have them available. I could understand a couple of weeks, but three months and still nothing? Seriously, what gives?

On a related note: FCA announced the adoption of iPhone/Android interfaces 8 months ago. Any idea if this is going to be available in the '17 Durango? I noted with some dismay that it wasn't on the Pacifica...

Hi Pappy35,

The Dodge website should be updated tomorrow morning to show the 2017 model year. Additionally, as of now, the 2017 model year of the Challenger, Charger, and 300 will have the Apple CarPlay/Android Auto feature.

That's good to know. I do really appreciate that Dodge has reps watching this forum. Very cool!

Any idea whether the UConnect head unit in the Durango will be upgraded at all as the model year progresses? I'm about the pull the trigger on an order and would hate to find out that I could have gotten an upgraded head unit had I waited a month or few.

I test-drove one recently and found that the current unit's Navigation is EXTREMELY laggy (takes 2-3 second to respond to zoom commands, continues translating the map for a few seconds after I stop swiping, etc.). The map data base also appears to be from 4Q2015 which seems a bit out of date.

Hey Pappy35--there isn't usually any sort of change to a head unit during a model year. The three vehicle with the CarPlay/Auto have a new design coming out, but otherwise, if you're looking at the Durango, there should be no change.

Hope this helps!

OK. I see the site update but it doesn't mention anything about Lane-Keeping. I see this particular feature on the various 2017 window stickers I've found online so I'm a little surprised it's not talked-up on the site.

Are you referring to the Lane Departure Warning feature? It is available on the Citadel and R/T models for 2017.
