Default 2013 Durango Crew AWD V6 Intermittent start - Dealer says WIN??

Hey all,

I have a 2013 Durango Crew AWD, V6. I was experiencing intermittent starts just prior to having the TPIM replaced under warranty. Using the pushbutton start in the dash, the Durango will turn over, but sometimes not start. It will typically start on the second or third attempt. The dealer now says its the WIN (Wireless Ignition Module) based on troubleshooting the B1A28 code, and wants more than $600 to replace it. I'm not convinced. Before spending the $$$, I thought I would ask you all. Any advice?

Thanks,
Nate

Interesting timing. My 2011 Crew AWD V8 recently started having very similar symptoms. I have not yet had the recall performed for the TIPM module but did build up the bypass harness and added an LED so I could confirm the TIPM was the culprit. Well, in the few times that I've actually had the hood open and LED visible, the LED was lit when the engine failed to start, suggesting the fuel pump relay in the TIPM is NOT my issue.

I was expecting to have to replace the fuel pump, but the information you provided has me rethinking that. I'll hook the scan tool up to see if I have a similar diagnostic code.
