Default RBZ Bluetooth not working

I feel like i have seen a thread about this before, but i just can't seem to find it. Anyway, I have a 2011 Durango Crew with a RBZ head unit. I can't remember the firmware version number. I know I updated it to the version that changes the background to red and black about a year ago. I'm not sure when this happened but my bluetooth and the usb in the arm rest stopped working. I've tried down grading the firmware. That didn't work. I went back up, that didn't work. When I push the phone button on the radio or steering wheel, nothing happens. Is there a fuse or a simple component i could check? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi yenomondurango,

Sorry to hear about this! You can enter your VIN here to see if there are any software updates for your Uconnect system: https://www.driveuconnect.com/software-update/. You can also try doing a soft reset of your Uconnect system:

"Step 1) Put their vehicle into the accessories mode (ACC or RUN) **For keyless start (push-button) vehicles: push the start button twice without having your foot on the gas or brake pedal**
Step 2) Hold down the Phone and voice recognition buttons (or tuner and volume *****), at the same time, for thirty seconds.
Step 3) Let go of the buttons
Step 4) Turn vehicle off
Step 5) Open driver’s side door for thirty seconds
Step 6) Close door
Step 7) Restart vehicle
Step 8) Let the media centre load up and see if concern is still present"

If this doesn't fix your concern I would recommend visiting your local dealership for further diagnosis. Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Wow...time really flies. I don't believe I posted this issue 2 years ago! Anyway, I want to share a few things just in case anyone else is having this issue. Sadly, the soft reset did not work for me. I read somewhere that the bluetooth control module was probably the culprit. In that post, they said it was on the passenger side. I looked and could not find it. Long story short, found it on the drivers side; under the ac vent. Ordered a replacement from ebay for about $80. Everything is good to go.
