Default Electronic Throttle Control Light

My 2014 Durango shut off on me and the electronic throttle sensor light came on. Not sure what this means. I'm still able to drive the car but not sure what to do with this. A mechanic gave me $500 quote to fix this but said "throttle body" on his quote.

You need a new throttle body.

Repairs differ by area. You could call around a few places and get some quotes. What engine do you have? How many miles?

It's the V6 with a 3.6L engine i believe. It's the basic Durango. It has close to 39,000 miles

Part itself is around $200. Shouldn't be that hard to replace yourself. May be some videos on you tube if you want to try and save yourself some money.
