Default 2017 Durango roof rack

Hello, I just purchased a 2017 Durango GT for my wife, she loves it but could do without the roof rack. Any idea on how difficult it would be to remove, and what the aftermath might be? Thank you in advance! Greg

Probably like any other. Pop the end caps off and there will be screws holding it to the roof. Then you will have holes in the roof after you remove them you will have to deal with. Seems it would be easier just to tell her not to look up when she sees the vehicle.

My '13 R/T does not have a roof rack. So when the missus wants a wooden lattice to screen the garbage cans, we'll be taking her roof-rack-equipped '14 ML350 to Home Depot to get one. She doesn't realize it yet.....
