Question A/c condenser leaking trans fluid

2013 Durango SXT V6
purchased used in August, 2016 @ just over 60K miles
currently at around 68k

noticed an oil spot on the driveway, so too it in to a local lube shop to have it checked out. they found a small leak at the seal for the a/c condenser/trans cooler, and recommended replacing it (estimated around $700)
we purchased extended warranty, so to avoid voiding that, we decided to take it to the dealer for eval before performing the work
now the dealer is saying not only is this leaking, but the same seal is leaking where this cooling system attaches to the radiator.
so the leak is a combination of radiator fluid and trans fluid, and it is leaking into trans

new recommendation from dealer? replace radiator, a/c condenser/trans cooler and trans flush - @ $1800+

I am not a mechanic, but this sounds like BS to me

anyone have insight?

p.s. prior to noticing the leak, the vehicle has shown NO signs of any issue. no warning lights, CEL codes, no overheating (after noticing the leak, I have watched the trans temp which gets up to about 210 under normal driving conditions)

thanks

If you purchased an extended warranty, why is the leak not covered under your warranty?

If the ac/trans cooler radiator is not leaking, why replace?
If they can only stop the leaking by replacing the radiator and not by replacing the cooling lines in/out. Maybe it needs to be replaced.

If the trans fluid is contaminated, flush, replace filter s/b done if the trans fluid is contaminated.
The more work being preformed on your vehicle, the more it will cost.

Dealerships mech. charged the most per hour. More over head cost. Good independent mech. charge a little less per hour.

Take it to another dealership and see if they come up with the same repair work results and cost to do the work. Be sure not to tell them you already had it looked at.
