I'm trying to install the factory Mopar wiring harness for the trailer lights. How do I remove the wires from the electrical connectors shown? I have to replace several of the connectors, but instruction (pic) aren't very helpful. I need to get the white/brown and white/orange wires out of the connectors so I can replace them with the wires from the new harness. However, I can't seem to get the existing wires out.
If you pry off this little white faceplate then you can see down in the connectors and there's little green plastic tabs that if you have a very small screwdriver you can pry up and then pull the wire and connectors out the back.
Do you have an image of the terminals on the wiring that needs to be installed in that connector? If so, they may give a hint as to what needs to happen. From the last image in your post, it appears the terminals may have a little barb on them (like a fish hook) which is common with connectors. You either need to push the wire from the back, then use an extraction tool to compress that barb, or there will be a plastic finger that is part of the connector body which needs to be moved away from the barb to allow the wire and terminal to pull out the back side. But seeing one of the new wires should help determine which approach to take. From what I've typically seen with factory automotive wiring, the plastic finger approach is more typical.
