Default 2012 Durango heater problem in Alaska

Good evening everyone. For the last couple hours I've been searching internet for some answers that are hard to find.

I have a 2012 Durango SXT with dual climate. On my way to girlfriends family Thanksgiving we've noticed that heat was only blowing on my side and her side was blowing much colder air, however it wasn't as cold as it could be as I tried lowering temp on her side and it did get colder. So I figured its probably a "door actuator" problem, but the as we got closer to our destination my fan in the front completely stoped working at any speed and temp, while rear was still on at full speed blowing air at a temperature somewhere between hot and what she was getting on her side. After about a minute fan came back to work blowing hot on my side and same temp as before on her side. Fan stopped working again a while later and came back to life shortly after. Any ideas what I will need to replace? Thank you very much! Happy Thanksgiving!

Not a lot of help around here sometimes Mr Kapkan. I was going to suggest that it's probably the relatively common blend door issue. Regarding the fan shutting off, I don't recall that happening along with the blend door but I'm no expert.

May I suggest Googling "2012 or 2011 Grand Cherokee blend door" or even checking the Jeep Grand Cherokee forums for a solution. The 2011-present Grand Cherokee is the same vehicle as the 2011-present Durango and SO MUCH of the tech crosses over - the GC is a much more common and tested vehicle so the Jeep boys have seen and done almost everything with these and most of the Durango guys have not.

Just an idea. I know the blend door issue specifically pertaining to the Durango has been discussed here:

Where they also talk about looking for a solution on the Jeep forums. Good luck and post back if/how you solve the problem.
