So...my Bluetooth worked great with voice commands for ever. I recently got an iPhone 8 and paired it but now the voice commands just don't work. I say the call and the name of the person and it comes back with something completely different. Anyone run into this? It worked so well before...

 

did you have an android before? it could be something specific to the new phone (i had a friend who couldnt get voice commands to work with his iphone, when he upgraded to an android phone they worked well) i would try either the old phone if you still have it, or someone elses phone to narrow down the source of the issue.

 

I also have an issue with my Android phone. In my case, I have the listing in the phone as Last Name first (Last Name/First Name), however, when the phone book transfers to the UConnect system, it lists them First Name first. So, when the phone is paired via Blue Tooth to the UConnect system and I need to call someone using the UConnect voice command, I have to say "call and first name/last name", if I say "call last name/first name", I get something totally different. I have not found a way to change the UConnect address book to list Last Name/First Name when the phone is paired to the UConnect system.
An example, I added Pizza Hut to the address book on the phone as Last Name (no First Name). When I tried to call using the BT voice command, I got something totally different - I had to change the phone book in the phone to list Pizza Hut as First Name for it to be found with the car's voice command.
