Same here with a 2012 5.7L, had to change (Alternator, Battery and PCM) The T36 recall does not cover the 5.7L only covers the 3.6L Durango and if the alternator part number on the alternator part number tag does NOT contain the following numbers you will have to get it replaced under the recall (421000-0801, 421000-7021, 421000-7041, 421000-7042, 421000-7051, or 421000-7052)

The technician is now saying he thinks it’s more than just the alternator and thinks the PCM could have fried.... they are saying if the reason why the alternator went bad is because of the PCM I will have to pay the charges Could the PCM cause the alternator to fail?
I’m having the exact same issues same vehicle. Did you ever find out what was wrong and get it fixed?

The alternator damages the PCM when it fails not thenother way round, there is a recall for the 3.6L but funny enough not for the 5.7L which is ridiculous as its the same issue, had the replace the alternator and PCM at my own cost!
