Oil pressure switch issues
2014 Dodge Durango V6 50,000 miles
My check engine kept coming on and going off. The code was P0520. We changed out the oil pressure switch with a new one from the dealer, now throwing 4 codes. P0520, P06DE, P0113 and P0305. Tried clearing the codes with the reader and it won't clear. Tried disconnecting battery and codes didn't clear(didn't leave disconnected for an extended period of time). Prior to changing the switch it would stay off until it became really humid out then the check engine would come on as the humidity rose. We did replace all the gaskets on the upper and lower manifold and will take it back apart and check for bad seat as far as the P0305 code but I'm stumped about the oil pressure codes. Also, related to misfire code, checked spark plugs and coil and both seem fine.
Of note, the oil pressure always read what looked correct even with the check engine light on but we decided to change the switch anyway because I was tired of not having remote start and that seemed to be a common issue.
Another thing to note, is the sound deadener in the engine had been chewed up by a rat, but all wire casing still look intact. My home is rural and parked outdoors under carport so nearly impossible to keep critters out apparently.
