The Service Park Assist System warning is on the center information panel and the light is always on on the Parking assist button below the climate controls.

Mine does the same thing. I looked under the rear bumper and found that two of the wires leading to one of the little back up sensors were corroded and came apart. Lots of salt up here in NY State...
Waiting for better weather and I'll get under there and try to repair it. But, I determined that due to the shorted wiring the whole system shut down. Take a look under yours and see what you can see.
