Just got a 2017 GT to replace our 2011 Crew. Crew had the factory tow package, GT does not and all I need it for is my bike rack.

Are the hitches (Dodge or aftermarket) designed to retain the cover when not in use or does it need to come off permanently when I add one?

Any pics of what it will look like?

It'll have to come off. U can probably buy the cover that is designed to cover the hitch. The one you have is flat right. The one that comes with the vehicles with factory tow packages is convex.

 

Yes it's curved a little but mostly flat.
