Default Passive entry

hey guys first off thanks in advance!! I just bought a 2017 Durango GT with 8k on it. For some reason the passive entry is not working. The seating is check marked in the uconnect settings. Can someone maybe point me in the right direction? Again, thanks!!

Take it to the dealer and use your warranty.

That’s the plan. I wanted to try and avoid it. Ya know just in case it was something I could fix.

I know the settings for passive entry can be buried in the screens. It's gotta be a setting in there somewhere. Maybe you could call the dealer, Have you checked the manual?

Yeah it’s in the settings but when it’s on it does not work. I did look in the Manual. Guess it will just have to be a trip to the dealer

I want to make sure we're talking the same thing. "Passive entry" would be related to locks and security, not related to seating. Are you referring to the Easy Entry that moves the driver's seat back when the vehicle is shut off and then moves it back to the memory position when started?

Edit: On re-read I think seating = setting. Since "passive entry" has meant a few different things over the years, I still want to make sure we're all talking the same thing here. Are you wanting the feature enabled that allows you to just place your hand in the door handle when the key fob is on your person and it unlocks the doors? Are you wanting it to unlock all doors, or just the driver's door, etc.?
