I am posting on this too because seems like this is a common problem with these trucks, really hope there is a fix for it.

Default Same issue

I have the same issue with my 2015 R/T AWD. Have 67,000 miles. I noticed it started happening when I took it in for a service on a recall. It jerks whenever it downshifts from 5th to 4th. I will make an appointment with the dealer.

There is an updated TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) that needs to be done. I don't have the bulletin code but when i pick up from the dealer later i will post the updated #. At this point i don't know if its fixed till I start driving it.

You would think Chrysler would advise owners of this update instead of leaving there vehicle driving like ****. Also anyone that has a heated steering wheel there is a software update for that too. Mine kept shutting off like 20 sec after turning on.

Call your dealer and give them this updated TSB software update code: 21-030-16. Funny how Chrysler doesn't let anyone know of this update. Just keep letting people think this is normal for a 50K truck to downshift and feel like someone rear ended you. Truly amazing. Drove truck about 15 miles so far and its downshifting perfect. Will keep updated if anything changes.

Has anyone created a case with Chrysler? My truck is still doing it not fixed. The software update didn't help.

Had same issue after recalls were addressed. Brought it back to dealership and they did a software update which made the "downshift issue" more sporadic than having it happen every time. Brought it back again, and one of the techs "relearned the trans" (I think that's the term he used), and now it shifts like it did the day I took it off the showroom floor. He said the trans would have eventually smoothed itself out once it learned your driving style, but there is a way to manually do it.

I have had my Durango Citadel in service 3 times for the transmission and they have done a software relearn and updated it multiple times and I think it is getting worse. The dealership told me I just need to wait until there is a new software update and that I cant go back to an older version of the software. I find this ridiculous that there is no fix. I have a $55K car with 22k miles, I paid for a lifetime warranty too and I am stuck having my newest car drive worse than any older car and company vehicle. This is not right. I have only had Jeeps until this Durango and Dodge vehicles for business but if this isn't fixed soon, I cant take it any more and will be forced to move on. If someone knows of how to contact Chrysler in a department where someone will actually hear us and take our issues and business seriously, I would appreciate someone sharing that so we can hopefully get this resolved.
Thanks in advance!
