Default Slight burning smell when I turn on the heat

I noticed a slight burning smell the last 2 times I set the climate temperature to 72 or higher. It is very faint but still noticeable. Do you know what could be the cause for this? I have a 2016 Durango SXT and it has about 40,000 miles on it. Also, do things like this get covered under the warranty that lasts up to 100,000 miles? This is not for the extended warranty since I didn't purchase that one, just the 100,000 mile warranty that comes automatically with the vehicle. Thanks for any help!

No. The warranty to 100,000 miles is powertrain only.
