2017 Durango 5.7 voltage

That voltage will depend on the battery state of charge, current electrical load, etc. These are "smart" charging systems that vary the amount of charge from the alternator to minimize load from the alternator and improve fuel economy. They are not like the charging systems of years ago where you could always expect something in the range of 13.8-14.4V when the engine were running. Therefore it's very difficult to base what you should be reading off of what someone else is reading, even under similar conditions.

Just got the battery replaced on my 2017, and now with the new battery I get a steady 14.8v which seem to be high for an AGM battery and I just took a look at the battery itself and there is a warning sticker to not charge over 14.5v on it. So now I'm thinking the charging system seem to be defective and charge the battery too high and probably why the original battery died so quickly, and only replacing the battery like the dealer done will probably just kill another battery quickly and problem not fixed.
