Windshield Fogs up on inside
I have a 2012 Durango R/T . After driving around in cold weather and parking it outside for a couple hours the windshield frost up on the inside . I have checked the usual things , windows rolled up , doors shut tight , cowl screen not plugged . I am looking for ideas , heater core ? I have an extended warranty bit if it was an easy fix I can avoid a trip to the dealer .
a bad heater core would steam the windows not frost up and you would smell sweet coolant odors. If its a frost that you have to scrape off...its environmental conditions...warm humid cab and cold glass...this happens more to dirty windows...frost forms over dirt particles on the glass. see if cleaning the glass helps.
when I take a warm car out of the shop and park it...it can frost over and customers complain...leaving one window down a bit stops it.

Thanks for the information , I will clean the windows . One thing that also seemed to make a difference was that I was getting quite an accumulation of water on the front Weather Tech floor mat on the drivers side . I cleaned that out and that seemed to make a difference also .
