Fortunately I don't have any first hand experience with the occupant safety in an accident, but that information is readily available through an Internet search. In general though, this is a rather large vehicle that, at least stock, does not have an exceptionally high center of gravity. Many of these have AWD as well as all the other common safety features. Since they have a rather good towing and cargo capacity, the unit body construction is quite robust. If I were in an accident between a Durango and a Prius, I'd want to be in the Durango. I'm not sure what specifics you're looking for though that you've been unable to answer from an Internet search.

Out of curiosity i put in the Durango, pilot and Explorer in the database. Durango and Pilot come out about the same, Explorer slightly higher rated.
The thing is a tank with just about every modern safety feature you could want. The auto braking, adaptive cruise, and other features are very well executed.
