Angry 2013 Rear end Fade or Bad Tires?

I did try and search and couldn't find anything on the issue.
I purchased a used 2013 Durango Crew AWD, 5.7 hemi, and they had put new tires on it, Goodyear Assurance Maxlife tires and have noticed the rear tires lose traction a lot in wet weather.
I monitor the tire pressure regularly and the tires still have a lot of tread on them. I first noticed it about a month after buying it so the tires were pretty new at that point. I've just gotten used to expecting the rear tires to lose traction and that shouldn't happen.
My previous generation Durango didn't do that at all with 2 different sets of tires on it.
So I'm wondering if this is a gen 3 rear end fade issue due to the body/rear end possibly being lighter with the redesign or just bad tires.
I've got new tires prices, but before dropping 1500 bucks on new tires I just wanted to see if any one else had any insight or knowledge of a fade issue.
I know other models of cars in the past have had problems with model redesigns and fade issues, like the nissan 300 series and various others.
Just thought I'd ask before going to the tire store and shelling out the cash.
Thanks,
Doug

I suggest you look at the Tire Rack website and look at their tests of the various tires. I bought Continental Terrain Contact HT 265/60R18 and have been very happy with them in the rain and winter snow.

Thanks!
I did spend some time on TireRack reviewing different tires and ended up getting the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3. They had much better ratings that the goodyear ones I had on there did. I've owned perellis on two other vehicles and never had any issues with them.
I could immediately tell a difference, smoother and quieter ride than the old ones.
And since it's been so wet in my area lately I tried a couple of times to break the tires loose and couldn't. Mind you I didn't try too hard, just hard enough to simulate when the old tires would lose grip and they held strong.
Thanks for the response!!
