My wife's 2013 has a fun problem. Started happening randomly and now it's permanent. So anyway, when you use the button to close it, it tries to latch 3 times then quits. We used to be able to just close it manually and it would latch by force (just closing it normally, not slamming it). But now it won't even latch that way now. It won't even latch if I use a screwdriver to push it in place while open.

Does this sound like a broken latch or a software problem? All the other threads I looked at never said it wouldn't latch manually, except one guy but his was constantly trying to latch. Also, I already tried the fuse trick. Thanks in advance!

I fixed the problem with a replacement latch. I will clean up the old and get it working again to keep as a spare
