Default 3.6 durango a/c compressor

I have a 2011 dodge durango 3.6 crew, compressor locked up and I am in the process of replacing but I have run into clearance issues. There are 2 studs at the bottom mountings of the compressor but when I slide the unit down to remove I hit the side wall with about an inch of stud left. I already had to remove the abs system to make room and moved some hosing from my work area. I bought a pdf download service manual but it only specified one stud and nothing more than what I already know. I cannot find any information on my issue so this is my last hope thanks in advance

Well, that sounds like fun..... I came to the conclusion years ago that automotive engineers HATE automotive technicians, and purposely design impossible repairs into their vehicles, like you found here..... I don't have a solution for you though..... never had to do that particular repair. Moving this to Third Gen Durango forums for ya though.

Good Luck, and, welcome to DF!
