Hi my truck has 54K miles which is very low for this year and when I do a cold start I am getting a loud valve tap. After about one minute it goes away, but this is not normal. Last oil change I added Lucas product to help avoid something like this. Anyone else have experience with this? I know the pickups with Hemi in this model year range have many engine/valves tap issues almost everyone you see on the road you here the issue. Assume same motor.

 

The problem is not the motor, its right-side manifold. Guess a bolt broke. Won't be a cheap fix. UGH

 

Careful with using oil additives since the variable valve timing (VVT) and multi displacement system (MDS) rely on proper oil viscosity and proper oil pressure.
