Default 2021 DD Driverside Headlight

I have a 2021 Durango Citadel and the driver side daytime running light went out, so I turned off the DTRL in the controls. Now the turn signal in the light has stopped working also. I have been looking for a used headlight assembly, but I am not having much luck. I know the car has auto bright lights, but I'm not sure on self leveling. I will research this and figure it out. Is there a good aftermarket headlight assembly available. The OEM assemblies are expensive.

Thanks Ray

Have you confirmed that the signal for the DRL and turn signal is making it to the headlamp assembly? You may want to consider finding a used assembly at a salvage yard to save some money if you want OEM quality at a lower price, once you've confirmed the assembly is the issue and not some other electrical gremlin.

The DRL went out before the turn signal. The turn signal barely lights up when turned on so I know it has power.

Are there any good aftermarket lights assemblies. I haven't seen good reviews for any yet.

The turn signal barely lighting could be an indication of either a corroded connection or a bad ground. If that's the issue, installing a new assembly will most likely not fix the issue. Do you have a test light you can use to test for good voltage and ground? A multimeter will have high input impedance so it's not as good for testing for voltage in this case.

Do you know if your Durango has any history of front end damage?

I bought this Durango new and hasn't been in an accident. I haven't check for corrosion, but the DRL went out first and the blinker still worked normal. Probably a month later the blinker stopped working, so I don't think it is a wiring issue. From everything I have read, the '21 Durango's have an issue with the driver side headlight DRL. It wasn't an issue for me until the turn signal stopped working, I had just turned the DRL off in the control panel.

You may want to start by checking the wires like the other member had posted. Using a test light or load tester.
