Thumbs down 2024 Durango GT Plus

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has been having issues with FCW, radio, blind spot sensors,

There are a few different radio malfunctions, this was the most recent.

and wipers? Mine has been malfunctioning since I bought it, I've brought it five times, and they admitted they can't fix it. Essentially, they've told me to shut up and wait until they figure out how. It's been a year, the relationship with the dealership has completely soured, and Dodge won't respond to me because the codes are self-clearing so apparently, I have no options.

The dealership was alluding to this happening to a lot of people. I was hoping to get a feel for if anyone else is having the same experiences.

FCW warning comes on every time I drive, they say it's because of remote areas but mine comes on no matter where I am. There is a new issue where my wipers will start going super-fast and then I get a warning saying that my windshield is too dirty, my windshield is never dirty when this happens. The radio will also fail; it'll go black and I won't have audio or access to things like my climate control. Warnings pop up constantly saying the vehicle needs servicing. Anyone have any advice?

Where you are shouldn't matter, it's essentially radar/lidar/sonar, or something in between. If everything is clean, and there are no obstructions, then it should work just fine. No idea how sensitive the sensor are to dirt, but, they shouldn't be THAT sensitive...... But, given that you are getting multiple errors, for a couple different system, I would be inclined to think the controller for those systems was the problem. (assuming, of course, that they all have a controller in common....)

Based on a recent, somewhat similar, issue I had with my 2018 Charger, I'd suggest finding a layout of your Durango's CAN network topology, and see if all the intermittent modules are on the same bus. If so, then use a wiring diagram to determine if they have a fuse or relay in common, and if there are other devices on the same circuit that are NOT acting up. If you find everything on a particular relay have given indications of an issue, then replace that relay.

What I would do first is to clean all the sensor areas then disconnect the battery (negative wire only) for about 5 minutes, and then reconnect. This will like re-boot the system and start the re-learn process for the engine and driving management. There may even be directions how to do this in the owners manual. Then if this fails to fix the issue, dive in into a deeper analysis process.
