Default Buying a Durango, which years are good/bad

I am looking to buy a Durango with V8, Hemi I guess, AWD so I have been looking at the RTs.
A couple of years old maybe, any years that are worth searching for and any to avoid?
Thanks!

2011-2013 are ok but are getting old. If it's got over 200k, get ready to change EVERYTHING.
2014-2020 are ok and have more modern transmission and Uconnect systems but look just like the 2011-13 inside.
2021-Current are mostly well rounded and have arguably the best-looking interiors of all. (many of the SRT stuff can be had on the RT's also).

No matter what you find, in my experience, the AWD models are superior to the RWD models. Do not do it!!! I had a 2011 JGC 5.7L 2WD and it was a blast for doing RWD stuff. When that rain/snow started.........

Problems. The Hemi Tick (lifter or broken exhaust studs or both) is still a problem for ALL v8 engines.
Cooling... The engines like to run hot (base motors use a 203F thermostat get a 192F or 180F).
AWD differentials... All Tires have to match in size end-of-story.
2014 and later with Race-Track taillights can flood causing dim or not light up in spots/areas.
2015 and later require ECU unlocks for modifications to take. (Do HP Tuners as I wish I had).
Be careful with project cars. You might have to undo much of what was done at your expense.

I bought a 2011 AWD RT and put a 392 into it. It was fun and I still drive the truck. I also have a 2011 Citadel v6 and the wife has her 2024 GTv6.
If you do go the v6 route, water pumps, thermostats, oil cooler housings, and rocker arms are the norms over there. Year for year stuff is the same. Still, my Citadel Nag1 gets destroyed by her "8hp" 8spd transmission although they both are AWD and share the same v6!!!

Good luck!
