A little more teaser... Three things I've been toying with.

First: Eliminate shifting into 2P. In theory if I set both 3dn and 2Pdn shifts points' curves to overlay exactly (TP% same from 0% through 100%) when it attempts to shift into 2P, either at light throttle (07 & up) or 75% throttle (all years) it will drop into second as opposed to 2P. So far, my theory works very well but you have to ask is dropping from 5-2 better than 5-2P? After all the RPMs jump from 1700 to 4500 when shifting from 5 - 2 at 65MPH. One benefit though is I no longer have the whine that shifting into 2P caused and I have better pulling power passing in second as opposed to 2P. I'm testing all three shift schedules with this theory.

Second: I've been playing with setting the "default" Shift Schedule to a "modified stock" Shift Schedule to give me a little better mileage with day-to-day driving. Then setting the OD Off Shift Schedule to be more aggressive. If I want to put my foot into it, I'll hit OD Off to have a bit more ****&vinegar and, I really don't care about 5th gear when I put my foot in it. Now I can have my Kate and Edith too. Also the OD Off Shift Schedule has better low-end pulling power that is helpful when hauling.

Third: The Low Shift Schedule's TP% and MPH ratios are much better correlated for 4-low now. I don't do a lot of off-roading or hill climbing but I can see where this will be extremely helpful for the off-road enthusiast.

We're still working out a couple of issues and it's taking time to work through them but, as you can see there are a lot of options that will be available to you.

will superchips ever release a model like the diablo trinity or hyperPAC? i like the options that those have and having them mounted in the windsheild.

Bottom line, dont buy a SC for mileage. Buy one if you want a bit more power out of your ride and more control over your truck functions.
but do you LOSE mpg? (without a heavy foot of course)

Yes, I believe you can. The Hemi engine runs much more efficient if you can keep it in the power band (NOT WOT). What I mean is when you have to use a lot of throttle to "poke along" as you do with some of the mileage tunes, I believe you're using more fuel less efficiently. With a 91 tune you don't have to apply near as much throttle which may save fuel in the long run. Make sense?

You would see an increase in power and torque. The 3865 is the next generation flashpaq. If you plan to purchase a new Ram down the road, the 3865 would be the way to go. The 3815 doesn't have the memory to allow new software changes such as the such as the transmission shifting options we're currently beta testing for the Hemis.

has there ever been a legitimate hp and torque rating put out on the superchips. Im trying to see if the output justifies the price. ty
