I would go with the Flashpaq if you want the trans options. The Cortex is priced higher mostly because it offers an additional powertrain warranty but once the trans tune option is installed in that unit the powertrain warranty is null and void due to the open boundaries of the option going beyond the factory parameters.

Default cortex programming

ive just recently purchased my tuner i have installed it a couple of months ago and bought it to give me all little more power for a couple of reasons i tow alot with my truck just a 6x12 trailer enclosed with brakes., i use it for work and play as well. recently ive been finding some more time to play with the tuner . i have a couple of questions if someone could help?
what is a safe rev limit suggestion i know it stops at 7 but im assuming for every day usage that would be a bit much? so i was thinking 6250 ???? if anyone has any suggestions and im sure these questions have been asked. but if someone would let me know i would appreciate it.

Hello, id keep the rev limit around 6k or what you posted is more than enough.. without a cam your just wasting you time in that rpm range and not making any more power.

X2....thanks for all the help. With the transmission shift schedule you sent me, my truck now feels really light. I can get up in speed quick, the shifting is amazing. Thanks for the help, the shift schedule was perfect. Maybe you could put It up for other guys with 08+ 4.7l guys also. My truck feel like a hemi, I drive them a lot here at the dealership I work at. And I think I could seriously put up a good race with a stock hemi.
