Did you update it after receiving it? Go to http://www.superchips.com/Customers/...eSoftware.aspx and download and install the Internet Updater software. You will need to register your tuner and then update it. Then try to tune your vehicle again.

i got everything to work now thank you for your help guys . one other question , is there a guide to follow when fine tuning the performance tune? i put in the 91 octane tune and there are options such as rev limiter , wot shift points etc... is there anything to go by for where to start off with to get the tune dialed in ? this is the only mod i have done to my truck so far and have no clue where i should have everything adjusted to . thanks again

There's no real guide; it's how you like to drive. Here are my set points:

Rev Limiter: 6200
Speed Limiter: 128 - many folks max this at 140
WOT 1-2: 5950
WOT 2-3: 5850

You can use these and adjust from there. A lot of 1500 guys set their values even higher.

No, but you're in the SC forum... Depends on your long term plans for your Ram. If you're planning on CAM, headers, supercharger then SCT or Diablo will be your best choice as they provide custom tunes that SC does not.

If you have no plans for major engine modes then the Superchips Flashpaq 3865 will be your best bet. It offers user adjustable tuning for the tranny. Can adjust set points for 1UP, 2UP, 2PUP, 3UP, 4Up 5DN, 4DN, 3DN, 2PDN, 2DN and torque management.

Diablo also offers user adjustable tuning for the tranny but I've had no experience with what exactly they offer.

There is also the Bully-Dog but again, I've had no experience with that tuner either.

You will find users of each tuner will rant and rave about their tuner...

I was a beta tester for the Advanced Transmission Upgrade on the Flashpaq and have had zero problems.

Tow and Perf91 require 91 octane or better.
