Just curious, does anyone have an advanced tuning setup for 87 Octane? Im using the Quick Tune 87 Octane but I still dont feel my truck is running properly and id like some guidance from someone who has dialed it down.

Does your truck have an OD Off or Tow/Haul button? For '07+ OD Off disables 4 AND 5th gears; Tow/Haul disables 5 gear only. I don't tow heavy trailers without using the Tow Tune and either tow/haul or OD Off enabled. 4th and 5th gears are weak and may not take the abuse besides I hate the down-up shifting that takes place a lot.

Without having the Advanced Trans Upgrade you cannot change the shift schedules so your options are limited; tune to tow tune, enable tow/haul button. You may see Shift Schedule but your options are Stock or Superchips. You could try Superchips to see if that's any better. Set BOTH Shift Schedule AND OD Off Shift Schedule the same.
Yeah I had it in Tow/Haul mode along with using the tow tune from the flashpaq. I'll have to check to see if I was using the Superchips shift schedule or had it on stock. If all else fails I may do the trans upgrade on the flashpaq so I can customize it more to my liking.

Just curious how long it usually takes for Superchips to respond to a "file not found" situation. New Cortex , updated online, tried to install, not found. Uploaded my stock tune to the Superchips icon thingie and it says "Check back at a later date"

Any ideas on the wait time ? Or should I call to notify ?

It takes them a few days to add the calibration into the database. When ready, they send an update is available notice to your e-mail address on file.

Yes, most files are turned around between 24 - 48 business hours. You should receive an email stating that the file is complete. Additionally you can contact customer service at 888-227-2447 if you want additional info.

Default superchips 3950 update problem

just got my 3950 in and im trying to do the recommended update online prior to installing it in my 06 hemi.

when i get to the point of plugging my 3950 into my computer i get error code: "G1 FT_Close is not valid" followed by several other error codes.

i went to superchips website forum and noticed several people were having probems like mine using the same computer operating software; windows vista. I also noticed that a post on the forum stated to go to the superchips download page and download a specific "vista" download. i have not been able to locate this specific download.

has anyone else had this problem? and does anyone have a solution?!!! thanks for any help in advance.
