I've run Superchips on my two Dodge Ram's for 8 years (2004 and now 2008). Always tuned and they were/are both daily drivers. I alpha tested and then beta tested the advanced trans options for over a year. I have never had an issue. Superchips was the first to tune these trucks and without hesitation, I can say they are the best at tuning the Dodge transmission. It's solid TCM tuning.

Since I installed my Superchips 3865 I have never messed with the torque management settings. I have been reading that doing so can make a little difference in the way the trans shifts.

What would be some good values to run?

Reducing TM can make a world of difference in the shift. I've been running 8.8% for Part Shifts 1-Up, 2-Up, 2P-Up, 3-Up and 30% for 4-Up. And 10% for WOT 1St, 2Nd, 2nd-P, 3rd and 30% for 4th.

Shifts are clean and crisp. See FAQ as you want some TM to reduce engine load to complete the shift.

YMMV...

Values like these above wont cause any excessive wear and tear on the trans?

Also I have purchased the advanced trans upgrade but am still running the superchips shift shedule. I tried Sils but it was a little too agressive for me and worse MPG.

Since my truck is an 08 do I have to run one of the schedules on the mcfail site under the 08 folder? Im looking for a schedule that is a little more agressive than the superchips and improve on my mileage of the superchips schedule as well. Its winter and im getting roughly 11.5 now.

No, you don't have to run an '08 schedule. Try one of my schedules "Mark's Shift...' http://www.mcfail.net/superchips/ind...edules%2F07%2F However, you may have to modify the TP% values to fit your calibrations.

Ah but, I have to. You see when I was in the Army 1971-'73 we never got thanked so as a Vietnam Era Veteran and member of the Patriot Guard Riders, it is *my* honor to thank you. Be safe and Godspeed brother.
