Spark Plugs
I just replaced my stock NGKs at about 85k miles! I went with Bosch Platinum Plus, pre-gapped to .044. The stocks only opened up to about .050, with little wear, just a bit of normal browning, I was surprised for almost 90k miles on them...
Truck is a bit smoother and has a bit more pickup now, so it was a noticeable difference!

Any recommendations for a 2002 4.7?
Mostly light street driving, light hauling.
Texas summers are brutal though.
Dad's truck has come up for a tune up again and the dealer is gonna want an arm and a leg for a tune up I can do in 2 hours.

I always use anti seize for spark plugs. Just dumb not to. As for the die-electric grease, I think you can scoot by without. It won't hurt it either way in my opinion. I have changed plugs and never used it in the past without a hipcup. So others may disagree.
Champions here. In my wife's Jeep, our Ram 1500 van and in my 2003 1500 5.9. Champions run fine in Chrysler products and in lawnmowers. I believe that you should run what the manufacturer recommends. I am a Ford tech and have seen my share of aftermarket plugs cause problems. Especially Bosh Platinums.
