right. 24's and 36 tires. he's looking at or got a set of 26's though so you're not completely crazy lol.
for the record, his wheel/tire setup is much heavier than a set of 35's on 17s.
And another note, wheels and tires are called unsprung weight, which have a 4:1 ratio effect. This means for every 10 lbs extra on the wheel/tire it requires the same effort by the engine if there was a 40lb bag in the bed.
Assuming the wheel/tire combo is 50 lbs heavier than stock on each corner (which it is, or very close to it), thats 200 extra lbs is equivalent to 800 extra lbs in the bed (hence why us lifted guys run quite a bit slower times than the stock guys)

Since this is really a performance based thread I'll ad my latest kill to it, Looks vs. Performance... Hmmm who's is faster....
So today this RCSB SRT wannabe pulls up next to me, he basicallly had the wheels, hood, front bumper and the rear spoiler from an srt10 and had the sport trim. So he pulls up next to me, his truck sounded reallly good so I am just sitting there looking it over (my window was down), so he rolls his down and him and his friend are sitting in there looking over me. He then flips a switch in the cab and opens his cutout(s) and revs it a few times and it does sound nice but off from what I was use to with mine but whatever. His friend then leans out the window and says I bet you you cant keep up with that little 4.7 you got there...
.... I just sit there and laugh a little and say yeah im sure I wouldn't stand a chance against his truck.. Light turns green and we are running even although I was only at half throttle, I waited a few seconds then waved at them and put the peddle to the floor. pulled damn near 10 lenghts from him and kept on going. get to the next light and he pulls up next to me, I look over and asked him what he had in it, other than the magnaflow catback and cutout(s) his was a stock 4.7 (realy????? come on wtf). I sat there for the rest of the light laughing, couldn't help it, here is this really nice looking truck that sounds really good and its all show and no go. He was probably just using its look and sound as an intimidation factor. Well this light now turns green and Im done playing, he tries to go again but this time I punch it from the start, the look on their faces at the following light was just priceless...
Moral of the story... Just cause your truck (or car) looks very very nice does not mean that it is fast and does not meant that you can try to pick a fight with unmarked "stock" looking vehicles.... I love fun days like these....

I was referring to this comment
yeah truckin has a hemi on steroids.
Yeah guys, my tires are 36s but also keep in mind they are ATs and not street tires. So they are heavier and have more rubber than most tires. I weighed my truck yesterday on the scales at work and without me in it (another 180#) it weighed 5880 lbs.
