did you spend the night? I typically go down 40 miles so its pointless to drive from San antonio for just a day. The daytime temps have been good but the nighttime keeps showing low 60 and high 50s. Think I'm gonna shoot for next Monday/tues

Have you gone through yarborough pass? My buddy says there's some ok fishin there. Its about 14 or 17 miles down the island.

Saw the funniest thing, well wouldn't be funny if it were my truck but on one of the causeways, a truck had driven out about 100 yards on a jeddi (god I can't think of how to spell that and I lived in fl 20 years) well the dumbass stayed out too long and high tide came in and blocked his route back, I know that whole jeddi gets covered though, I'd have at least grabbed my ***** and floored it, at least try to make it. Oh well, he prob just said f it and got drunk at snoopys.

yeah, we usually do, been fishing PINS for almost 8 years now, love it.....that particular trip was to get my wife some R&R time, we were both sick for 2 weeks, then she got in a car accident, so i figured i would take her down there, stay with my dad and brother, then eat at Laguna Reef (her favorite place to eat)...mainly just soaked some bait and drank some brew, didn't put too much into fishing like normal....that particular weekend was almost 90* so it was awesome just to be out....

where you from, SA?

154 posts in 36 hours. Jingle bells. Here's one of my wife, daughter and I in Yellowstone this past summer.

born and raised (20 years) in fl, been in San Antonio the last 4 years.

i had one d!ckhead fisherman incident, im 46 miles down the shore on a weekday, so nobody left or right within eyesight (longest was about 6 miles when i was driving back before i saw another person), this guy stops literally in front of me, not to the left or the right and starts to fish and yells at me because my 2 dogs are running around. i told him to f*ck off. i mean really, there wasnt any birds flying overhead, dont know what he saw to stop there, but give me an f'n break. 60 miles of shore and you stop in front of me?.............

you ever do the texas sleigh ride? (hook a small shark in a kayak and let the fun begin), ive gone out to one of the oil rigs with a buddy in a kayak, theyre just uncomfortable to me, 6,4 sizeable fella so my legs were cramping and back was hurting.

Yellowstone was great. We saw just about everything you can see from a vehicle. We did not go camping into the woods but we saw pretty much all of the geysers, pools, hot springs, mud pots, Yellowstone falls, etc... Saw several thousand antelope, about a thousand buffalo, 10 elk, 5 wolves, 3 bears, etc... Went fishing. Went swimming, man the water was freaking COLD! I dove in the water and had a mangina before I surfaced! We saw stopped at all of the little "town" type areas in the park. I think the camp site we stayed at was something like $40 a night, my parents paid for the camp site. We had my brother and his family, my sister and her family, my parents and my family and I, (12 people total). The camp sites at Yellowstone that take reservations start booking like a year in advance so I would suggest not just showing up and thinking you will get a camp site or you will probably be disappointed.
