yeah dude, everything out here is expensive as fukc!! now gas is at an all-time low... (sarcasm) cheapest in town is $3.679/gallon. houses with 3 bedrooms run at $400k in the ghetto. imagine the rich areas... oh, 1-2 br condos run at $250,000... man, can it get any more expensive? thank god its a buyers market right now. yeah, imagine that... buying houses or condos at those prices and being called a buyers market. it can tell you how much it was a few years ago...

i underwrote high value homes on my last job, i always laughed when these people acted like they were the **** buying a 600k home in calif, then id always have to tell them im im 23 and my house is a 2,400 sqf brand new, not some run down 1950s house that sold for 20k when it was new.... its just retarded. at least in the north east like CT where homes are expensive, they still are good in size, have an ok lot size and they have a basement....

edit, what was really fun is for insurance you insure at rebuild cost, not what a similar house would sell for. cause you cant just go and buy another house, plus your land is still there.

my fav was a 700K plus house that rebuild cost was about 180.... that guy was pissed off!!!!! i said sir id love to overinsure your house and collect a larger premium but we still wouldnt pay out that much, plus its against the law to over insure it.. HA

since this is a post a pic thread here
that view was the lot i almost bought and build a log home on, but then i figured it would be better to get my MBA then settle down..... but that view, 5 acres, 75k... ha try getting that anywhere in calif..lol

ah! cleveland. lol. we lived in a nice big house in kirtland for a bit. about 2600 sq ft, 1.5 acre lot and paid about $225k for it. sold for $269k. lol. but it was waaaaaay beautiful. the house was sitting on top of a hill that was on our property. the backyard went down hill to a creek. the other side of the creek was another steep hill covered with trees. a creek ran around our house. it was one of those 'dream houses' or whatever you wanna call it. just beautiful! i miss that place. haha. but im glad im in cali. the weather and the ladies... cant beat that.
