The 3rd Gen "Not Really Truck Related Discussion Thread"
yeah efan is on the list too and i do all my own mods, i would never think of paying anyone $300 to put headers on. its not that hard just focus on not breaking any studs and your good. i have access to lift now so its even better
.. efan and the fastman tb are in the works maybe for valentines day, that way i can justify spending money. yeha i have to get her a little something but its worth it if i can get a little something too.

look up at the black line on top of the page, see "chat" between "garage" & "log out". Hit it, I'll go there now to test it, don't leave me hanging. Use the default DF chat room.
yeah this thread will die maybe you should put it back as a sticky just in case haha...
but if you think this thread was worthless banter check out the "4.7l has jack on the hemi". theres even a mpg war in there for some dumba$$ reason.

You checked around for headers? Can you find mids for your 4.7?
I've got a 4.7 H.O. in my Grand Cherokee. A LOT of differences from a standard 4.7. Different intake, cams, crank, PCM, etc. etc. I notice the exhaust is different too. They use what appear to be real short versions of shorty's instead of the standard exhaust manifold. Maybe shorty's would be worth it for you...
I know installation on my truck couldn't have been easier. Tires didn't even need to come off, just the wheel well liners. Could get to every bolt from either underneath or the wheel wells...

i was going to Pm and call nick at airram caus ei know he has the jba shortys on his 4.7 but i remember him saying he was being deployed again for a little while. the headers are on hold for now because i got a call this morning and was offered the nuclear armed guard position and i took it. so i go into a 14 week academy starting feb 2nd so im not going to be around much as its 12 hour days for 3-4 months and then i will be working 12 hour split shifts 4-5 days a week. let the money roll in for new mods haha. i pretty excited about this because its been tough trying to find decent work in my career field.
