Default 1500 heavy half

I just bought a 2008, 1500 Mega 4x4 which is supposed to be a heavy half. It has the towing package and on the Options Report the dealer ran for me it list 4 springs, ZRAP,ZCBP,ZYVP, AND ZKVP as add ons. It also has 8 lug wheels. It's rated at about 7400lbs towing cap as a straight 1500. I can't find anywhere that lists the cap with these add ons. It's a 5.7 HEMI with a 3.73 rear end, automatic w/tow haul mode. Does anyone have any ideas what it can actually tow.

My current trailer only weighs 6500 GVWR and 4900 dry weight but I may want to get a little larger one and want to know what weight it can safely tow.

Thanks

It sounds like you've got the exact same truck that I drive. The maximum loaded trailer weight rating is 7,450 which is indeed less than a Quad or Regular cab 1500 (Yes, the Mega Cab is heavy!) Payload is rated at 2,090, and that's where the upgraded suspension gives you a bonus over the other 1500s.

The Mega Cab is VERY heavy. I tow a 22' boat and it does ok, but I also have a lift with 35" tires so its not fair to judge it. I really need gears though, some 4.56's should do the trick. I sold my 01 F350 with the 7.3 in it to buy my Mega Cab. I couldn't be happier with my Dodge. I love this truck, from the ride to the looks. I bought the Laramie fully loaded. My 7.3 was infact a good motor, its just everythig around it was falling apart or breaking.
