I'm gonna try to take mine off. hopefully I dont snap anything. or I'll just spend a day taping lol I really wanna paint the inside of my grill black too sometime. so maybe I'll kill 2 birds with one stone.
The insert is from e-bay. it's OK. It's just a zip tie one. I had to mod it to mount it without the original plastic insert. I should have bought a proper bolt in insert like the ones here: http://bigboys-customtoys.com/_produ...oductList.html

Sooner or later I'll see about picking up a better one but the one I have does the job for now.

Well, got bored again and figured why not paint the grill black as well. Here's a couple photos of the truck with the grill painted. I didn't bother to paint the srt hood scoop grill as I'm probably going to replace it with a better/different one.

That might not be bad idea. I may have to look into doing that.

Ya, that's pretty much all that's left of the chrome. I de-badged my last truck and didn't really enjoy that task, but they don't really match the rest of the truck so I should probably just suck it up and get to it.

Did you take this into a shop to get this done....or did you do this yourself?
