It takes me a month or more to go through a tank but finally filled up this morning and the computer said 10.1, calc said 9.5. All city driving and did a lot of heavy hauling to the dump and sod farm, and moved the camper around town a few times. With the gearing I have, hauling anything or running empty doesn't seem to matter that much around town. 9.5 is the worst I've seen and maybe 10.5 is the highest. Now that's all city which is rarely the case on 1 tank so I don't have that many comps. I usually end up with at least one 175mile trip on a tank which usually leaves me right around 14 combined. I always considered 10 in town and so far I've never been off that much.

Five, A month is because I'm running errands! My commute is only about 2 miles so if I didn't use the truck for other things, I'd get a few months easy. I could get 5mpg and I couldn't really care less. Probably why I don't worry about any mods since it's only really a utility vehicle at this point. She might be getting old but she gets the job done.

2006, 2500 5.9 diesel, quad cab, 2w drive, 21 mpg highway at 70mph, pulling a 10000lb 5th wheel, 11 to 14. I'm happy with that.
