Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
I have an '04 Ram Quad Cab 4x4 with a 5.7L HEMI. With the addition of an Airaid QuickFit Air Intake System and Airaid Throttle Body Spacer I am getting between 17.5 and 19.5 MPG highway and 13 - 16 city (depending on traffic lights). I tend to stay close to the speed limits. The truck has about 12,000 miles on it.[8D]
city 12 to 13........highway 16.5 to 17.5.........NOW with my lead boots on... hell, 10 c. and over 70 h., well 14.5 is good.......
but 456 rear nuts makes a diff too................GUIDO

mine hemi ram still has the first tank of fuel in it at about 200 miles. the tank is just above half full and the comptuer says 15.8 combined driving
so far so good

Well for the first 180 miles my 05 Reg Cab 4x4 Hemi (3.92 gears) has averaged 12.5MPG, according to the overhead display. This is ALL city driving and for the most part very conservative drving, nothing over 3K RPMs. I have hit it 3 times, just doing what the manual says for break in.
Reading through this post I hope to see 15-16 MPG ave once I am broke in and mixing in some highway driving. If I do then then the window sticker would be right on.
I also just put a Flowmaster system on my truck, may help slightly.

I just got my 2004 QC 5.7L Hemi with 20's, and I barely get 10 mpg I drive all streets to work, on highway I get max 13.5 mpg. I find it very hard to believe these numbers I'm reading from some of these posts. Am I doing something wrong? I've had my Ram two weeks and I would like tips on what to change and/or check on my truck to increase fuel economy. I've heard tips like check my tire pressure (whats the correct psi for my 20's?), look into a free flowing exhaust (I'm leaning towards flowmaster or magnaflow), maybe a cold air intake. Anything else I've left out? I look forward to any tips.
