RE: Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
2 WD ,03Quad 4.7 ,W/ S+ B filter, 33" tires, tonneau cover < 34K miles regular maintanceI'm getting between 11 to 12 MPG city and 12.5 to13.5 on the Highway at about 75mph ( computer reading) I've triedcrawling around and got about 11.5-12.5 city when the truck was new the gas milage was 15-16 .
The truck runs great but the gas milage sucks . I'm going to try sytentic oil and am thinking about changing my exhaust . Looking for any suggestions to improve gas milage.

9.2 running around town (good thing work provides me with my own car) actually picked up 1/2 mpg since ditching the fiberglass tonneau.
Really? Thats interesting you said that. My neighbor said he watched Mythbusters recently, and they did all kinds of tests on pickup trucks with and without Tonneau covers.....and they found absolutely no difference in gas mileage. Apparently, when driving, a vacuum forms in the truck bed, and the wind coasts right over it, as if a cover was on the bed.

07 Hemi Quad Cab with 1600 miles on the ODO. Averaging 15.6 city and 18.4 highway.
This morning, with the cruise set at 70 I achieved 20.2 MPG!!! Granted it only lasted about 5 minutes, but hey, I was impressed! Add a tonneau cover and a few thousand miles of breaking the engine in and who knows!!! (assuming I never floor it and fellas....ain't gonna happen!!!)
