Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
Another oil burner that just turned 15k miles. 4X4 auto quad cab dually getting 15.5 mpg hwy @ 65 mph carrying a 11 1/2 ft camper with cargo rack, coffin, and bicycles on top. Got about 17 mpg driving 50 with the same set up on the Alaska Hwy.
'07 Ram QC 4x4 4.7L SLT 19.5 mpg on the highway in traffic with stoplights on flat land with no wind (under 900 miles on the engine as of yet)
In traffic I keep aware of how soon traffic ahead of me is going to slow down and limit the use of brakes--this vehicle coasts forever! It stays rolling at speed better than anything I've ever owned yet. My mom's Dakota 4x4 SLT 4.7 doesn't coast like this one, my old first gen Dak didn't either. Neither have any of our Jeep GC's. Although my old 1986 D150 might have gotten better highway mileage with it's 318 and 2bbl carb setup with it's 2.73 gears, I'm sure the new Ram is much improved for combined city and highway mileage. --Matt
